What is Management Quota and how it is different from general quota?

Some seats are reserved in almost all private B-Schools for students who score less marks in the entrance exams. These reserved seats are known as management quota seats. The only difference between general quota and management quota seats is the fees. Students who take admission through general quota have to pay the general quota fees and students who take admission through management quota seats have to pay the management quota fee structure. Due to this higher fee structure, it is easier to get admission through management quota.

Eligibility Criteria for NMIMS Management Quota Admission

1. Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate (all the subjects for which the candidate has taken & appeared).
2. Candidates appearing for the final examination of their Bachelor’s Degree are also eligible to apply for all the full-time programs. Provisional admission is subject to clearing the final examination of their bachelor’s Degree with stipulated aggregate marks.
3. Candidate must have appeared for all his subject(s) / exams before the commencement of the respective Program (s) of NMIMS (Deemed to be University). None of the subjects should be examined after the beginning of the respective course. Also, the candidate should be declared a pass in all the above-referred subjects (s) / examinations by the University from which they are graduating, with minimum stipulated marks in the aggregate. If a candidates’ graduating University schedules the final year/semester/trimester examination/s during/after the commencement of the respective Program his candidature may be considered subject to NMIMS (Deemed to be University) discretion.
4. At the time of admission, a candidate must produce semester-wise / trimester-wise / consolidated (only if University / Institute does not issue individual mark sheets) mark sheets of all college years from which they graduated. Attestation by the Principal with an official seal / self-attestation is mandatory in case internet copies of mark sheets are forwarded.
5. Candidates, who have passed or have appeared for graduation examination from a University where a grade Point Average is given, must produce the equivalent percentage for the GPA/CGPA obtained in writing from the University concerned.
6. It is the candidate’s sole responsibility to ascertain whether they possess the necessary and requisite qualifications for admission at NMIMS, as verification of the documents is done at the time of final admission only. A professional verification agency will also verify your credentials including work experience. Submission of any fake medical fitness certificate or a mediclaim policy with the wrong pre-existing disease will render your admission ineligible. NMIMS has the full right to disqualify a candidate at any stage of the admission process or afterwards, if found ineligible. In such a case, the candidates admission, even if selected and fees paid, is cancelled and the fees will be refunded as per prescribed refund rules.
7. Criteria for Valid Work experience
   • Work experience of the candidate after completion of Graduation will be considered & not during period
     of study.
   • Work experience more than one year will be given weightage in the final merit list
   • Work experience is only deemed valid if the company is listed in both the GSTIN and TAN databases.

• 10th Grade Documents: Marksheet or Passing Certificate.
• 12th Grade Documents: Marksheet or Passing Certificate.
• Graduation Marks: Degree Marksheet for all years, separately for each semester or trimester. Consolidated mark sheets are accepted only if separate mark sheets are not issued by the University/Institute.
